Worship Ministry Team
Mission Statement
The Worship Ministry Team is responsible for the strategic planning of worship at St. Luke Union Church, which includes worship services, plans relating to the worshipping community and “being church” in the community. The team consists of two members from the Vision and Ministry Team and others as needed. Task forces, both long and short-termed, will be appointed to carry out the mission plans of the team. Each active task force will send a member to a joint meeting of the Vision and Ministry Council and Ministry Teams to communicate activities of the team.
The Worship Ministry Team is responsible for the planning of worship at St. Luke Union Church. The duties of the Team include preparation for worship services, communion, development of alternative services and special services, the music ministry, the sanctuary sound system and recordings of services, weddings, decorating the sanctuary, and recommending new music and learning ministry ideas to the pastors. When planning worship services and programs for Lent and Advent, representatives from other teams are included in coordinating meetings.
The team consists of two members of the Vision and Ministry Council, the pastors, the music coordinator and representatives from the congregation. We invite any member of the congregation who has an interest in assisting with the work of the Team to contact us.
