Biography: Rev. Andrew J. Gifford 10-1-09
Reverend Andrew Gifford came to become a Minister of Word and Sacrament after a successful career as a sales person in the power, process and steel industries. Andrew grew up in Elmhurst, Illinois where he was a member of the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church.
He attended and graduated York Community High School. York was the place where he met his wife Sandi. They were married after college graduation and now are the parents of two boys, Benjamin and Seth. Andrew participated in the sport of gymnastics in high school and while attending the University of Iowa, where he graduated with a Marketing and Economics degree.
Andrew attended and graduated with his Master of Divinity from Northern Seminary in Lombard, IL and is currently pursuing his Doctor in Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Andrew’s first call was as the Associate Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Ponca City, OK.
Andrew brings a gift for relationship building both in and outside the local church. His energy and vision look to the future role of the church in society as a positive and influential part of God’s mission for individual persons and the world. |
