The St. Luke Union Church Mission
“We are an active, caring community proclaiming the Word of God. We seek to know God’s will as individuals and as a church, to be transformed by the Holy Spirit, to practice Christian discipleship, and to demonstrate Christ’s unconditional grace and love for all.”
God’s gracious love is demonstrated in the lives of men and women who share in the dynamic ministry of our congregation.
We seek to better understand God’s will for us, individually and collectively, and to be transformed by His will to practice true Christian discipleship and to demonstrate God’s unconditional love of all creation. We pray, study and worship regularly to cultivate an enhanced connection to God and to ourselves as a faithful and joyous multigenerational congregation.
St. Luke Union is an inclusive church, welcoming all who desire to know and experience God’s grace and acceptance. We offer something for everyone, and we invite you to learn more about us. Thank you for visiting!
Our ministry is often spirited, and when the St. Luke Union Church family gathers for worship and celebration, it may include worship in the round, extemporaneous preaching and classical, sacred or jazz music. The liturgy and preaching emphasize hope and praise as we seek to understand, appreciate and live by God’s word.
The church extends its outreach through a variety of community programs, including local partnerships with Clare House, Home Sweet Home Mission, Habitat for Humanity and Safe Harbor Shelter. The church has ongoing relationships with the Coalition for Diversity and Reconciliation as well as with BroMenn Pastoral Counseling. Church facilities also are used by several community groups for academic and personal growth.
